Barbara Stamps was born in Mississippi to Fred and Jessie Carter on November 9, 1944. The Carter family relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1954. Barbara attended John C. Freemont High School, Los Angeles Trade Tech, and Southwest College. Barbara worked for Los Angeles County Assessor's Office, Children Institute, TRW Launching Pad Daycare Center, and the Los Angeles High Special Education Department and retired 25 years later.
Barbara was seeking God in April of 1979 and found Go. She was converted in God's Covenant Church under Bishop Phillip Brown and teacher Dorothy Brown in the Commandments of God and continued on under Bishop Perry Boyd.
She married Charles Stamps on August 24, 1963 and in union they produced four children, consist of three sons and a daughter.
She leaves behind her children Anthony Stamps, Terry Stamps, Kelly Stamps and Kim Stamps; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
