Clifford James Roberson

Clifford J. Roberson was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born December 23, 1947 in Massillon, Ohio to the late Ernest and Annie Belle Blackshear) Roberson Sr.

He worked for the railroad Norfolk and Western and retired. He enjoyed singing and hanging out with his childhood friends in Massillon and Canton Ohio.

He was blessed to be married and preceded in death to  LaVonne (Trammell) Roberson.  Through this union they had three children, Shauna (Perry) Fluellen, Terhann Roberson and Rashaad Roberson, and he also raised Danita Trammell and Damon Trammell who preceded him in death.

Clifford’s memory shall be cherished by his brother, Johnie Roberson of Akron, Ohio; sisters Debora Roberson of Palm Beach; Florida, Susie Randall and Joyce Clipper of Cleveland, Ohio.  His grandchildren, Qyearah Roberson, Shaneah Smith, Aspen-Capri Roberson, Mary-Ella (Toby) Smith, Trinity Roberson and Nautica Roberson; his great-grandchildren Zayden-Rashaad Smith and Khamau McElrath and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Six siblings have preceded him in death, four sisters, Willa Belle(Freeman) Terrell, Darlene Roberson, Josephine (Freeman) McRoy, Rosia (Freeman) Woods and two brothers, Derris Roberson and Ernest Roberson, Jr.

A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 with the family.
