Edwin Leroy Blakely

Edwin Leroy Blakely, age 72 years old, died on December 5, 2020 in Fontana, Ca.  He is survived by his spouse Gabriela Blakely of Fontana, Ca; his daughter Lenica Beth Matthews (Cary Wayne Jr.) and his son Edwin Lamont Blakely (Catherine D. Johnson); his stepchildren Crysten Yvonne Lomeli (Carlos Lomeli), Andrew James Trujillo and Matthew Robert Trujillo; his grandchildren Emerald Alexia, Cary Wayne III, Casey Winton, Ocean Monay, Christian Wade, Stasha Carine, Hailey, Kaila and Kassisdi. He is preceded in death by his parents Curtis And Lucinda (Dunn) Blakely; brothers Curtis Dunn and David Blakely; and sister Charlotte Blakely.

Eddie or Ed as he was fondly called by family and friends, was born on January 12, 1948 in Odessa, TX. He took some college courses during the early years but found his passion working for Metro Transportation for 42 years, and retired as Transit Operation Supervisor.

He was a great man and a loving father. He married Gabriela Dominguez in West Covina and they were together for 16 years. He was a faithful servant who was deeply involved in the church for majority of his life. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, and spending time with his family.

His family and friends will remember him as a wonderful role model, someone that was funny who joked around all the time and a man of great faith.
