Janice Marie Weber Chamberlain (Nana) was born August 25,1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the proud parents of Edward Joseph Weber Sr and Myrtis Coleman Weber. Janice was the first of six kids, and trust she took pride in being the first born. She made it known to everybody she was the oldest. Janice received her education at St. David Catholic School and finished at George Washington Carver Senior High School.

After finishing school, employment came easy to Janice. While in Louisiana, she worked on the Navy Base and lately found her passion in caring for people and started working at St. Margrette nursing home. In 1977, Janice moved to Santa Monica where she continued her nursing career.

Janice Marie was a dedicated and loving mother to five kids, Robert Chamberlain, Troye Michael Chamberlain Sr., Randy Anthony Durgin Sr., Senika Marie Durgin and Dominick Edward Durgin who proceeded her in death. Shortly after, the family grew and that’s when she adapted the name “Nana”, here came five granddaughters; Ashley Marie Chamberlain, April Monet Chamberlain, Alyssia Marie Bachus, Shamiah Lee Monk, and Shakirah Lee Monk and eight grandsons; Troye Michael Chamberlain Jr., Robert Devon Chamberlain, Ryan Devon Chamberlain Sr., Rodney Dwayne Chamberlain, Mahlon Jermalie Bachus, Randy Anthony Durgin Jr., Russell Dominick Chamberlain, and Rico Dinero Chamberlain. Although she had her own kids and grandkids, Nana loved everybody and everybody loved Nana.

Outside of being a great mother and grandmother, Janice enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, and cooking. Some of her favorite dishes was gumbo, red beans and rice, german chocolate cake, and that infamous banana pudding. She took pride in her creole background.

On, Friday March 28,2025 Janice Marie Weber Chamberlain, entered into eternal rest. She was loved by many and never will be forgotten.
