Reggie was born on May 30, 1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he lived the first 10 years of his life, his family moved to Bellflower, California in 1955. Reggie moved up to Apple Valley in 1978, where he was in the construction trade for many years. Reggie and Michelle have lived in Hesperia since 1995. Reggie retired in December of 2012, from the County of San Bernardino Social Services Department after 16 yrs. of service. Reggie had been enjoying retirement for past 8 years, where he often sat outside smoking his familiar pipe and enjoying the plants and flowers he had planted in the yard or his new hobby, off roading in his little Jeep, “Pepe”. But most of all Reggie loved music! And he was a gifted bass player who loved playing his bass and served on worship teams in all the churches he attended over the last 30 years. Reggie was a Christian who loved God and His Word. He was involved with Men’s bible study and the past couple years he has volunteered each week at the church.
In December of 2008, Reggie became a kidney transplant recipient after a being on dialysis starting February 2008. The gift of life was given to him by living donor Carolyn Davis on December 23, 2008. Reggie and his family are forever grateful for the 12 yrs. of life this gift had given him and his family.
Reggie never met a stranger. He was a great listener and made everyone who ever met him or talked to him, feel like he genuinely cared for them. He had a great sense of humor and could make people laugh. He made people feel comfortable and was a great conversationalist. Reggie will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a very gentle, kind, loving and compassionate man of God who also absolutely, positively, loved his wife!! He did!!
