Richard Michael Pshock, born April 19, 1960, was the second of eight children born to Richard and Bernadine Pshock in Cleveland, Ohio. Rick graduated from West Tech High School in 1978 where he first discovered his love for drama and entertainment as a cast member in a variety of productions.
A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1978 - 1998 and traveled the world including assignments in Florida, Italy, Greenland, South Korea, California and Madrid, Spain where he met the love of his life, Eleana Plata-Valencia.
Rick and Eleana were married in 1980 and eventually settled with their son Mauricio (wife Shelly) and daughter Vanessa in California where they have lived for the past 30 years. Rick became a grandfather to Josiah in 2006. His love and pride in Eleana, his children and Josiah were incredible.
With 20 years of experience as a Broadcast Specialist for Armed Forces Radio and Television Services, Rick brought his talents and operations leadership to California, working with Telemundo, AT&T and Wealth TV. Additionally, Rick specialized in freelance work as an actor and independent voiceover talent. His credits include scenes in Promiseland (2021), Cold Turkey (2013), Brothers (2018) and Dirt (2018) as well as hundreds of voice productions from audiobooks and commercials to video games and cartoon characters.
Although many will remember Rick for his incredible work ethic, sage wisdom, quick wit humor and contagious smile, he will be remembered most as a loving, caring and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. Rick was a member of Granite Creek Community Church and a zealous servant of Jesus Christ. Though the sudden tragic loss of Rick’s life is difficult to comprehend, his love and passion for his Savior gives us peace, grace and strength to carry on.
