Robert Anthony Chavez

Robert “Bob” Anthony Chavez Sr of Phelan, California, passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 74.  Born in Los Angeles California to Feliciana Rodriguez Castro (Faye) and Epimeno Chavez (Danny).  He is preceded in death by his parents Feliciana, and Danny, along with his brothers Richard and Ruben.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48-1/2 years Patty, his youngest brother Peter, his Daughter Tara Aleisa and her husband Bob, and his son Robert Anthony Jr and his wife Adriana.  Bob was an amazing Grandpa, and Papa to 5 beautiful grandchildren: Michara, Jaden, Robert III, Emilia and Rosalee.  Bob was also Uncle to: Ruben, Michelle (Arizona), Gabrielle, Michelle (Oregon), Cassandra, Nicole, Michael, Stephanie, Andrew and Julian, and had several Great Nephews and Nieces, and even a few Great-Great Nephews and Nieces.

Bob retired from Chaffee College after 15 years in 2022.  Bob unapologetically loved the Dallas Cowboys, but more tolerable to his family was his love for the Lakers, Kings and Dodgers.  Bob and his son were on the right side of the spectrum with their love for USC Trojan Football, while his ladies Patty and Tara were on the dark side being UCLA Bruins Fans.

He was loved by so many, and despite his rugged exterior, he was just a mushy teddy bear in the center, especially when it came to his grandkids.  He will be truly missed by us all.
