Rose Lee Mumford

Rose was born on December 12, 1953, in Leland Mississippi to the union of Jimmy and Mary Ella Ward Mumford.

After completing high school, she moved to Chicago, IL and later to Gary, IN where she was gainfully employed. There she met and married Andrew Todd in 1978 and bore two sons.

They later moved to California, where she was employed in transportation at Los Angeles MTA and retired after over two decades of service in 2015.

After retiring, Rose became a full-time grandma to her four heartbeats Jackson, Maddison, Parker, and Jace who she loved dearly.

Rose supported her sons and their families with everything she could. She created everlasting memories with her grandchildren that will last a lifetime. “Sleepovers at Nana’s” was her specialty and a hot commodity.

Rose helped at Frohlich Sports Academy and was the woman for all. She inspired many people who walked through the doors and joyfully spent her time in service to others, especially the elderly.

Rose was known for her beautiful smile and strong spirit that lit up a room, her unwavering kindness, and her sense of humor that always made people feel welcome. Her life was a testament to her faith as she ministered to her family and those she interacted with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.  Her love and memory will forever be cherished by her sons, Andrew (Linda) Todd, and Michael (Tiffany) Todd; her grandchildren Jackson Todd, Parker Todd, Jace Todd, and Maddison Todd; her bonus daughter Janika Ford; two brothers Jimmy (Mary) Mumford of Los Angeles California and George (Lynda) Mumford of Leland Mississippi; four sisters Joanne Prude and Anne Mumford of Gary Indiana, Grova Lewis of Indianapolis Indiana, and Debbie Baugh of Hattiesburg Mississippi, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
